SUPER SOFT ( basic not sweet )
makes 12 croissants

Here’s my tried & tested recipe of super soft croissants buns , enjoy in breakfast or with evening tea .


Oil = 1 & 1/2 tablespoon

Sugar = 1& 1/2 tablespoon ( grind it )

Salt = 3/4 teaspoon

All purpose flour / Maida = 3 cups

instant yeast = 1/2 tsp + 1/4 tsp

MILK POWDER = 1 & 1/2 tbsp

warm milk = 240 ml = one cup

Method :

Mix all except Warm milk rub n add warm milk little at a time knead well n keep in an airtigh container in warm place till 2 hours for fermentation, then after 2 hours punch dough ,

roll out dough divide into 12 parts ,see pictorial for making shape

grease paper line in baking tin, put croissants buns keep space between them as they will rise n doubles in size so they need space , leave for about an hour till doubles in size , now apply milk with brush r do egg wash, N bake on 200 degrees centigrade for about 20 to 45 minutes. ( in pot on stove bake for about 20 – 45 minutes on medium flame) is ready.

NOTE : You can make them in different
flavors by apply , jam , chocolate
spread , peanut butter , butter ,
margarine , raisins …
before giving shape apply anything .

Tip = keep a tin full of water in oven along with bun tins for soft buns.

Tip = after baking if buns r hard from any side apply milk with brush n leave for 30 minutes will become soft..
